The Monthly Meeting of The Ministry held on 12 May 2024
The Monthly Meeting of the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy of the Jubaland is a monthly Meeting which is chaired either by the Minister, Deputy Minister, or Director General of the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy of the Jubaland state of Somalia. The Monthly meeting focuses on how to improve the departmental activities and how to further strengthen activities for the community.
Today, May 12, 2024, the Minister of the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy of Jubaland, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Omar, together with the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Abdullahi Ali Farah, chaired the Monthly Meeting of the Ministry.
The Minister initially appreciated the work of the employees in the different Departments and Sectors, be it the staff based in the ministry office or at Alanley and Kibora extension offices.
After recognizing the efforts of the staff, the Minister has listened reports from the Director General Mr. Abdullahi Ali Farah, the Departmental Director, and other officials of the Ministry.
During the meeting, it was agreed to accelerate the various activities of the Ministry for the community while increasing awareness of the importance of fishing and fish consumption.
Mr. Ahmed Hassan Omar, the Minister, announced that the knowledge capacity, quality, and skills of the ministry staff will be reviewed, and that everyone will receive knowledge enhancement in their community-serving jobs.
On the other hand, the Minister, Mr. Ahmed, stated that he visited the Ministry’s Kibora extension and saw offices that needed to be equipped, and that must be done as soon as possible so that the staff working in the Center could operate in fully equipped offices.
Finally, the Minister adjourned the meeting and directed all employees to intensify their efforts to maintain regular working hours.
