The Minister has inaugurated a high-level exhibition to raise awarreness about the importance of eating fish.
The Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy of Jubaland, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Omar, today inaugurated a high-level exhibition to raise awareness about the nutrition of eating fish.
The exhibition was attended by members of the Jubaland Cabinet, the Jubaland Fisheries Cooperation Committee, and some members of the community.
While the show was going on, there were speeches from the officials, the fishermen’s cooperative committee, and the women who benefited from the training.
“It is not an easy skill to make cookies, pasta, and even bread from the meat of the fish. My gratitude goes to the international organizations that supported the RAAISE project and have trained those mothers. It is a job opportunity for them, and we expect that they will transfer or extend their knowledge and skills to other women in the community,” said the Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy of Jubaland, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Omar.
This project (RAAISE) was implemented by the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy of Jubaland through FAO, which receives support from the European Union.
